The official operator only releases each Klementinum tour date up to about 14 days ahead — you won't see dates further out than roughly two weeks, and new dates are added daily as the window rolls forward. If your travel date is still beyond that window, reserve it on our site (or email [email protected]) and we'll watch the calendar for you. The moment the operator opens a session that matches your date, we email you a secure payment link. We refresh our availability feed every 30 minutes, so we catch new dates within half an hour of release — which matters, because the small English-language groups often sell out within hours.

Two reasons most often: (1) your date is outside the operator's current 2–3 week release window — check back, or email us to be notified when it opens. (2) the session sold out — Klementinum tours cap at around 15 visitors per session, and English-language sessions can sell out 7–10 days ahead in peak summer. We can suggest a Czech-language session at the same time slot if you don't mind the language; the building, the route, and the upper-terrace views are identical.

All sales are final. A refund is issued only if the operator cancels the tour. Once your booking is confirmed, changes to date or time follow our rebooking terms.

The Klementinum is a vast historic building complex in the Old Town of Prague, in the Czech Republic, occupying around 20,000 square metres and ranking as the city's second-largest complex after Prague Castle. A chapel to Saint Clement stood on the site from the eleventh century, and a medieval Dominican monastery preceded the Jesuit college established here in 1556. The main Baroque construction unfolded between 1709 and 1726, producing the celebrated Baroque Library Hall with its allegorical ceiling fresco of knowledge and learning. The Astronomical Tower rises above the courtyards, and continuous meteorological records have been kept here since 1775, among the longest unbroken series in the world. The Mirror Chapel, with its gilded stucco and mirrored ceiling, completes the ensemble. Today the complex houses the National Library of the Czech Republic, and its principal halls are reached on guided tours only.

The Klementinum sits in the heart of Prague's Old Town, on the block bounded by Karlova, Křižovnická and Mariánské náměstí streets in Prague 1, close to the eastern end of Charles Bridge. The most convenient approach is the metro: take line A, the green line, to Staroměstská station, then walk roughly four hundred metres south-west towards the river. Trams 17 and 18 also serve Staroměstská, running along the embankment nearby. On foot, the complex is only a few minutes from Old Town Square and the Astronomical Clock, which lie a short distance to the north-east, while Charles Bridge is immediately to the south. Street parking is heavily restricted throughout the historic centre, so public transport or walking is strongly preferred. Entrances open from Karlova street and from Mariánské náměstí, where the ticket courtyard and tour meeting point are found.
